Fares Ghedjemis has committed his future to Frosinone by signing a new contract until 2030, likely ending Rangers' chances of signing the winger. The 24-year-old Algeria international was heavily linked with a permanent transfer to the Scottish Premiership club during the summer window, with Frosinone reportedly demanding £17.1 million.
With Ghedjemis extending his stay in Italy, Rangers and manager Derek McInnes will need to assess other transfer targets. Writer Aheed Abrar argues that signing a new center-back should be the priority in the January transfer window instead, as John Souttar is out of McInnes' plans.
