Rangers manager Derek McInnes guided his side to a Scottish Premiership victory over Celtic at Parkhead, courtesy of a goal from Ryan Naderi. The win follows a Premier Sports Cup victory against Celtic a week prior. McInnes became the first Rangers manager since Walter Smith to win his first two Old Firm matches in charge.
Following the match, BBC writer Tom English noted that McInnes showed little emotion compared to Steven Gerrard's famous camera-grabbing celebration in the past. McInnes acknowledged board members and shook hands with Celtic manager Martin O'Neill, stating he would not go overboard as Rangers remain two points behind Celtic in the league standings.
