Scotland star ends 364-day wait as key former Man Utd man given public dressing down by manager

Scotland international Billy Gilmour scored his first goal in 364 days as Napoli drew 1-1 against Fiorentina in Serie A on Sunday. Gilmour opened the scoring in the 23rd minute by volleying home a corner from Matteo Politano. However, Fiorentina equalized in the second half when a shot from Alex Jimenez deflected off Rafa Marin and beat goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.

Following the equalizer, Napoli manager Massimiliano Allegri substituted former Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund and midfielder Noah Lang. Allegri publicly criticized Hojlund after the match for a lukewarm performance, calling him "pig-headed" at points. Napoli currently sits in ninth place in the Serie A standings after the draw.
