Scotland Women head coach Melissa Andreatta stated her team feels excitement and optimism ahead of their upcoming Women's World Cup play-off semi-final double-header against Czechia next month. The second leg will be held in Paisley as Scotland attempts to reach next summer's finals in Brazil, which would end an eight-year absence from major tournaments.

Andreatta named a 26-player squad featuring returning players Freya Gregory, Sam Kerr, Maria McAneny, and Martha Thomas. The team is captained by Caroline Weir, who recently earned a nomination for the 2026 Women's Ballon d'Or, with the winner of this tie advancing to face Lithuania or Sweden in December.
