The former Old Trafford boss has hit out at the club's call to sell the playmaker in 2024

Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag revealed he was left "very embarrassed" after club leadership sold midfielder Scott McTominay despite prior agreements. Ten Hag told The Athletic that club decision-makers had agreed during a meeting in Ibiza not to sell the Scotland international, only to proceed with a £25 million permanent departure anyway.
Ten Hag argued that the midfielder provided vital scoring ability and mentality, which the squad subsequently lacked. McTominay went on to help Napoli win the Serie A title, while Ten Hag was dismissed following a defeat to West Ham.
