Celtic manager Martin O’Neill speaks after 1-0 win over Kilmarnock…

Celtic manager Martin O'Neill stated he would not have allowed striker Kasper Hogh to take a second-half penalty against Kilmarnock even if he remained on the pitch. Hogh's goal drought extended to 16 matches despite earning man-of-the-match honors, with an early goal disallowed following a VAR review. Benjamin Nygren subsequently took the penalty after Hogh was substituted, but Kilmarnock goalkeeper Nico Mantl saved the attempt.
Celtic secured a 1-0 victory courtesy of a 25th-minute goal from defender Liam Scales. Following the match, O'Neill also addressed an injury to midfielder Mika Baur, confirming the player suffered ankle damage and requires a scan ahead of scheduled international duty with Germany Under-21s.
