Switzerland manager Murat Yakin missed his pre-match press conference at Hampden ahead of a Nations League fixture against Scotland due to hearing issues. According to a Swiss Football Association spokesman, Yakin suffered from cabin pressure complications following a flight from North Macedonia, which had experienced weight issues, a refueling stop in Zurich, and a two-hour delay.

Despite skipping media duties, Yakin was able to oversee Switzerland's training session at Hampden. Assistant coach Davide Callà stepped in for the briefing, noting that Switzerland prepared extensively by reviewing Scotland's recent match against Slovenia while anticipating a competitive contest.
