Napoli and AS Roma played out a dramatic 3-3 draw in Serie A at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Saturday. The hosts initially surged ahead courtesy of an acrobatic bicycle-kick goal from Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and a brace from Scott McTominay. However, Roma mounted a fierce comeback to preserve their unbeaten Serie A record, sealed by a late brace from substitute Leonardo Balerdi.
Balerdi netted an 88th-minute equalizer that sparked controversy and prompted furious protests from Napoli head coach Massimiliano Allegri, who was subsequently shown a red card and restrained by staff. Despite the chaotic finish, Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini praised his team's maturity and spirit after fighting back from two goals down.
