AC Milan head coach Ruben Amorim addressed media criticism, squad rotation, and youth development ahead of their Europa League match against RB Salzburg. Speaking at the Red Bull Arena, Amorim confirmed he will rotate his squad despite recent scrutiny following a 1-1 draw with Sassuolo and an opening 2-0 defeat to Benfica. He confirmed defender Strahinja Pavlovic will start against his former club.
Amorim emphasized that young talents such as Francesco Camarda, Cisse, and Comotto are integral to his long-term plans and will receive opportunities to play. Addressing reports of dissatisfaction from club owner Gerry Cardinale, Amorim dismissed any tension, noting that recent discussions focused routinely on future planning and summer training.
