Maurizio Sarri hopes the Atalanta fightback in a 3-2 defeat to Milan can ‘boost our self-belief’ but feels Adrien Rabiot should’ve been sent off for insulting the referee.

Atalanta manager Maurizio Sarri expressed frustration following his side's 3-2 defeat against AC Milan, arguing that Adrien Rabiot should have been sent off for insulting the referee. Milan built a 3-0 lead through Goncalo Ramos, Rabiot, and Mario Gila before Atalanta mounted a late comeback with goals from Gianluca Gaetano and Nikola Krstovic at San Siro.
Sarri criticized referee Daniele Chiffi for only booking Rabiot prior to the midfielder's goal. Despite the loss and an early injury to Sead Kolasinac, Sarri praised his squad's improved intensity during the final 30 minutes, noting the late fightback should boost their self-belief moving forward.
