The Story in 60 Seconds

Lazio left-back Nuno Tavares has seen his market valuation increase following an impressive start to the season, months after AC Milan failed in an attempt to acquire him. Milan previously explored a summer swap deal involving defender Fikayo Tomori as they anticipated a potential departure for Pervis Estupinan, but no agreement was finalized with Lazio or rival suitors.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito previously valued the Portuguese full-back at approximately €20m, mindful that Arsenal holds a 40% sell-on clause. Tavares is under contract until 2029 on €2m per year, positioning Lazio to demand a significantly higher fee should Milan or other interested clubs revive their pursuit.
