Elliott Management has issued a firm denial following an investigation published by French newspaper L'Équipe alleging improper multi-club ownership links between AC Milan and Lille. The report claimed seized communications indicated Elliott simultaneously managed both clubs between 2020 and 2022, potentially breaching UEFA rules through complex corporate structures.
In response, Elliott stated that Italian prosecutors reviewed the evidence and recommended proceedings be dismissed without charges. The investment fund emphasized that UEFA previously investigated the relationship, confirming Elliott functioned solely as a financier without decisive control or influence over Lille.
