Five outfield players from Roberto Mancini's Italy squad have yet to feature three games into their Nations League campaign. The unused outfielders are Daniele Ghilardi, Eddy Kouadio, Samuele Ricci, Rolando Mandragora, and Samuele Inacio. Mancini's squad was reduced to 32 players after injuries to Nicolo Zaniolo and Giacomo Raspadori, with 23 outfield players having already made appearances during the international break.
Attention has focused on 18-year-old Borussia Dortmund forward Samuele Inacio, who remains eligible for Brazil after only appearing in a June friendly under Silvio Baldini. Mancini explained that Inacio has been omitted from recent matchday squads because he still needs time to develop, though he could potentially feature in Monday's match against Turkey.
