The Story in 60 Seconds

AC Milan and Inter Milan have budgeted a total of €2.3bn for their joint stadium development roadmap, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. The major project features a new 71,500-seat stadium, infrastructure, and surrounding commercial areas. Architects Foster + Partners and Manica will present initial renderings on October 29, with groundbreaking planned for summer 2027 and a targeted completion date for the venue in summer 2031 ahead of UEFA Euro 2032.

The entire complex is targeted for final completion by 2036 following the demolition of the current San Siro and commercial redevelopment. Funding combines equity and debt, supported by a preliminary €354m bank loan secured through lenders including Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan, with long-term repayment guaranteed by future stadium revenues.
