Ruben Amorim's AC Milan secured a 3-2 victory against Atalanta at San Siro, surging to a three-goal lead before nearly surrendering the advantage. Goncalo Ramos opened the scoring with a penalty following a VAR handball review, while Adrien Rabiot added a second before the break. Mario Gila extended the lead from a corner early in the second half, completing an overwhelming opening hour for the Rossoneri.
Atalanta responded late after Maurizio Sarri made impactful substitutions, with Gianluca Gaetano and Nikola Krstovic scoring to cut the deficit to 3-2. A late shot against the post from Krstovic and sharp saves by Mike Maignan preserved the win for Milan, moving them into Serie A's Champions League qualification spots despite Amorim's side switching to a defensive 5-4-1 formation.
