Mario Gila has backed Ruben Amorim’s methods while acknowledging Milan are still at the start…

AC Milan defender Mario Gila assessed the club's current standing, describing the team as a Europa League outfit holding Champions League and Scudetto ambitions. Speaking at the Festival dello Sport in Trento, the defender expressed full support for new manager Ruben Amorim and stressed that the current project requires patience as the squad adapts to the coach's tactical system.
Gila highlighted Amorim's aggressive pressing demands and requirement for defenders to play out from the back. After arriving from Lazio in the summer, Gila has featured regularly in a back three, while Milan opened their Serie A campaign with three wins and two draws.
