Ciro Immobile explains how he knew it was time to retire, why he ‘saved Lazio…

Former Italy striker Ciro Immobile has spoken about his retirement from football at age 36, revealing his ambition to coach the Italian national team in 10 years. Immobile explained that he chose to retire after realizing his physical levels were dropping during pre-season training with Paris FC. He also addressed his departure from Lazio, stating he decided to leave to save the club embarrassment after feeling pushed toward the exit.
Immobile currently works as delegation chief for the Italy Under-16 squad amid the national team's restructuring. Reflecting on his career, he praised former managers Simone Inzaghi and Roberto Mancini, while admitting that Jurgen Klopp gave him the least during their time together at Borussia Dortmund.
