Inter have confirmed defender Benjamin Pavard sustained an adductor thigh strain in his right leg following medical checks in Milan. Initial reports indicate the French international will be sidelined for around 20 days. The setback rules him out of upcoming Serie A games against Bologna, Fiorentina, Venezia, and likely the Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan.
Pavard's absence deepens an injury crisis for manager Cristian Chivu following a 4-3 Champions League loss to Club Brugge. Captain Lautaro Martinez faces weeks out with a hamstring issue suffered in that defeat, while Curtis Jones remains out with a thigh injury and John Stones continues his recovery from a September hamstring problem.
