Zenga emphasized on Instagram that the act insults the history of Italian football rather than just Milan supporters, declaring that respect must unite the sport. Milan officials are reviewing CCTV footage to help identify the perpetrators behind the incident, which was first shared by Milan city councillor Alessandro Giungi.
