Inter Talent Lost in the Shuffle After Busy Summer

Inter Milan re-signed midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic from Club Brugge for €23 million over the summer, but the 21-year-old has played just 16 minutes across two substitute appearances this season. Inter rejected a €40 million bid from Brentford after the player opted to stay and fight for his place. However, manager Christian Chivu has continually favored Curtis Jones, Piotr Zielinski, and Petar Sucic in midfield roles.

Stankovic previously logged nine goals and five assists in 55 matches for Club Brugge. Despite being tested as Hakan Calhanoglu's backup during pre-season, he remains largely unused when rotations occur. If the Serbian midfielder's playing time does not improve in the coming months, a departure, likely on loan, could occur during the January transfer window.
