Enzo Maresca has made Premier League history by becoming the first manager to win his first seven games in the competition. The milestone was confirmed following Manchester City's victory over Ipswich Town at the Etihad Stadium on October 17, 2026. The Italian coach took over the position after Pep Guardiola stepped down following a decade in charge.
Maresca previously managed Leicester City and Chelsea before being dismissed by the latter on January 1, 2026. While he holds a perfect league start with wins over opponents including Liverpool and Manchester United, Manchester City previously suffered a 3-0 Community Shield defeat to Arsenal and a 4-2 Champions League loss against Paris Saint-Germain.
