Juventus are targeting Liverpool defender Giovanni Leoni and Frosinone goalkeeper Lorenzo Palmisani to help rebuild their core of Italian players, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. The club recently fielded a Serie A starting lineup with zero outfield Italian players for the first time in history. Senior management has recognized this lack of domestic depth and intends to pursue rising Italian talents in future transfer windows.
Palmisani is being considered as a long-term goalkeeping option, while Juventus previously explored a loan deal for Leoni during his recovery from a knee injury. Juventus are also reportedly tracking Riccardo Calafiori, Michael Kayode, and Fiorentina midfielder Cher Ndour, though Calafiori and Kayode may prove too expensive for the club's budget.
