Scott McTominay is a step closer to full recovery following heart surgery, as Napoli confirmed…

Scott McTominay has resumed on-pitch training with Napoli following heart surgery on September 8, the club confirmed on September 30. The Scotland international midfielder had been sidelined after undergoing a minor procedure to correct a mild benign heart arrhythmia, which was initially detected using wearable tracking technology during matches and training sessions.
Napoli shared images of McTominay working with the ball alongside his teammates at the Castel Volturno Training Camp after previously doing gym work. Before making a full return to competitive action, McTominay must undergo mandatory medical tests to secure official clearance under Italy's strict cardiac regulations.
