The Story in 60 Seconds

AC Milan are continuing negotiations to hire Markus Krösche for their vacant Head of Football position. Reports indicate that Milan may have to pay between €5m and €7m to release Krösche from his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt before summer 2027. Although the German club relieved Krösche of his duties at his own request, his contractual agreement remains valid until June 2028, and Milan are reportedly reluctant to pay compensation.

Krösche is also reportedly requesting a full management structure around him, which could include long-time colleague Timmo Hardung. This marks Milan's second attempt to hire the 46-year-old director, following a previously blocked verbal agreement earlier in the summer.
