The Story in 60 Seconds

Giovanni Malagò has officially filed his candidacy for the upcoming Italian Football Federation (FIGC) presidential election scheduled for December 14. He will face competition from former AC Milan and Monza executive Adriano Galliani. Malagò's submission was co-signed by 11 Serie A clubs ahead of the candidate filing deadline on November 4.

Malagò had previously won the FIGC presidential election in June, but the result was declared null and void on October 6 due to improper paperwork.
