AC Milan prepares to face Inter in Saturday's Derby della Madonnina, with manager Ruben Amorim looking to rebound after Milan suffered its first Serie A defeat of the season in midweek. Inter, led by Cristian Chivu, enters the matchup in strong form, having won four of its last five matches across all competitions. However, Inter continues to navigate multiple key injury absences, including Lautaro Martinez, Benjamin Pavard, Curtis Jones, and John Stones.
Inter spent over €100 million reshaping its squad during the summer transfer window after several veterans departed. Despite facing regular deficits and missing important players, the Nerazzurri have maintained consistency in league play. For Saturday's derby clash, Chivu is projected to field a 3-5-2 lineup featuring Manuel Akanji in defense, Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu returning to midfield, and Marcus Thuram partnering Pio Esposito up front.
