Roberto Carlos pays tribute to ‘mentor’ Mazzola and claims ‘Inter are extremely strong’

Former Brazil international Roberto Carlos paid tribute to Sandro Mazzola at the Portugal Football Summit following the Inter icon's passing at age 83. The former left-back described Mazzola as his second teacher during his formative 1995-96 campaign with Inter, recalling his advice to always play with joy.

Carlos also praised his former club, noting that Inter have maintained a very high level over the past five years. While stating that the Italian national team can return to prominence under Roberto Mancini, the current Real Madrid ambassador backed the Spanish club to win the Champions League.
