Roma were made to work hard for the three points against struggling Cagliari, as after the fightback for 2-2, Donyell Malen and Rodrigo Mora finished the job.

Roma earned a hard-fought 4-2 victory over Cagliari at the Stadio Olimpico after late goals from Rodrigo Mora and Donyell Malen secured the points. Cagliari opened the scoring with an M'Bala Nzola penalty following a Niccolò Pisilli handball, but Roma responded quickly through Emanuele Lulli before Pisilli put the hosts in front. Cagliari leveled the match in the 81st minute courtesy of Daniel Maldini.
Roma responded immediately to Maldini's equalizer, as substitute Rodrigo Mora headed home a Daniele Ghilardi cross in the 85th minute. Malen added the fourth goal two minutes later after combining with Mora. The match also saw Cagliari attacker Yael Trepy make his emotional return to the pitch as a late substitute following a near-drowning incident in August.
