Roma full-back Wesley has been excluded from the Brazil national team squad for their upcoming friendly matches against Australia and India. The 2003-born defender was forced to withdraw from the training camp after suffering a strain in his right thigh. As a result, he will be unable to play under Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti during this international break.

Wesley will remain in Rome to undergo medical tests and begin his recovery process. The Brazilian Football Federation has announced that Monaco defender Vanderson will replace him in the squad.
