‘Throw your medals in the bin,’ Roy Keane tells Manchester City players

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane stated that Manchester City players should throw their medals in the bin following a Premier League verdict finding the club guilty of financial rule breaches. Speaking as a pundit on ITV, Keane argued that City's achievements between 2009 and 2018 were invalidated due to alleged cheating.

The Premier League ruled that Manchester City inflated their income by over £900 million using sham commercial contracts, though City continues to deny any wrongdoing. Former City defender Micah Richards also expressed devastation and heartbreak over the findings during an appearance on The Rest is Football podcast.
