Anthony Joshua has addressed the long-standing rumors regarding his 2010 sparring session with Tyson Fury, confirming that he did not knock out his fellow British heavyweight. Joshua recalled reading that Fury was offering his Rolex watch to anyone who could knock him out in sparring, which motivated him during their encounter at his amateur boxing club. Joshua described the session as a "straight war" where both fighters landed significant punches.
The clarification comes as Joshua and Fury are reportedly scheduled to fight later this year, following their respective warm-up bouts in July. In those matches, Fury stopped Mariusz Wach in seven rounds, while Joshua overcame two first-round knockdowns to defeat Kristian Prenga in the second round.
