Caden Kvapil clinched the zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock championship with a win at Newport Speedway on Friday.

Caden Kvapil secured his fourth CARS Tour victory of 2026 to clinch the series championship with one race remaining on the schedule. Kvapil took the lead with 40 laps to go after slipping past Ronnie Bassett Jr. and Carson Brown during their battle for position. Meanwhile, Mason Walters led flag-to-flag in the 100-lap Pro Late Model feature to claim victory and expand his points lead.
With the triumph, Kvapil made history as the first driver to capture the Virginia Triple Crown, the ValleyStar Credit Union 300, and the CARS Tour championship in the same season, matching the title-winning feats of his brother Carson. Walters overcame failing brakes to defeat title contenders Conner Jones and Brody Monahan, extending his standings margin ahead of the season finale on October 17 at South Boston Speedway.
