Canelo Alvarez Calls For Terence Crawford Rematch After Win

After defeating Christian Mbilli in Riyadh to reclaim the WBC super middleweight title, Canelo Alvarez stated that he wants a rematch against Terence Crawford. Speaking in his post-fight interview, Alvarez expressed hope that Crawford could be coaxed out of retirement for another bout, noting that his team would love to make the fight happen if possible.

Boxing News 24 argues that a rematch would lack competitive intrigue and fan interest following Crawford's dominant victory in their first meeting. The outlet asserts that the potential sequel is primarily driven by business and funding from Turki Alalshikh, suggesting bouts against Osleys Iglesias or Dmitry Bivol would offer more compelling action.
