Christian Mbilli and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez make weight for their world title bout in Riyadh just 24 hours after two ballistic missiles are intercepted over the Saudi Arabian capital.

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Christian Mbilli have both made weight at 12 stone (76kg) ahead of their WBC super-middleweight world title bout in Riyadh on Saturday. The weigh-in proceeded despite two ballistic missiles being intercepted over the Saudi Arabian capital just 24 hours earlier amid heightened regional conflict.
Mbilli makes his first defense of the WBC title against the 36-year-old Alvarez, who enters the ring seeking a championship after losing to Terence Crawford in September 2025. Although other major sporting events in Saudi Arabia were recently cancelled due to security concerns, the combat sports card remains scheduled.
