Former multi-weight world champion Carl Frampton has revealed that Josh Warrington was the hardest puncher he faced during his boxing career. Speaking on Up Front With Simon Jordan, Frampton reflected on their featherweight world title bout in Manchester, admitting Warrington possessed unexpected power despite not previously being known as a major puncher.
Frampton entered the fight as a substantial favorite after previously winning world titles at super-bantamweight and featherweight against opponents like Kiko Martinez, Scott Quigg, and Leo Santa Cruz. Following the points defeat to Warrington, Frampton fought three more times before retiring after a loss to Jamel Herring in 2021.
