The ASA Midwest Tour, rebranding as the CARS Midwest Tour starting in 2027, announced it will adopt the current ULRA Super Late Model rules package for the 2027 season. The move is part of a unification of seven racing series under a new ownership group comprising Kevin Harvick, Tim Huddleston, and Marty Melo aimed at establishing nationwide consistency across short-track racing.

Under the new framework, all CARS Midwest Tour Super Late Model races will pay a minimum of $10,000 to win and $2,000 to start. Kevin Harvick stated that the ultimate goal of the unified rules across regions is to eventually crown a national champion in both the Pro and Super divisions.
