The British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) confirmed that Zuffa Boxing is not licensed to promote Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury, scheduled for December 11 at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. According to BBBofC representative Robert Smith, paperwork only lists Matchroom Boxing, Queensberry Promotions, and SELA. However, UFC CEO Dana White insists that he is promoting and producing the event, dismissing Matchroom chief Eddie Hearn's criticism.
White claimed the UFC would produce the broadcast, firing back at Hearn during media appearances ahead of UFC 332 in Salt Lake City. The initial bout contract reportedly excluded Zuffa, requiring British license holders to promote fights under BBBofC jurisdiction.
