Deontay Wilder is in talks to fight cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia on the undercard of Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua this December. The proposed matchup in Cardiff, scheduled to be broadcast live on Netflix, would mark Opetaia's heavyweight debut against the former WBC heavyweight champion, according to a report by Ring Magazine's Mike Coppinger.
Wilder last fought in April, earning a split-decision victory over Derek Chisora. Opetaia, who has also been linked to a potential clash with David Benavidez, would be stepping up to the heavyweight division for the first time in his professional boxing career.
