Edgar Berlanga Crowns Himself Above His Hit List

Edgar Berlanga has shared a social media graphic depicting himself on a throne wearing a crown, surrounded by seven prominent fighters targeting him. The image features Gervonta Davis, Jake Paul, Hamzah Sheeraz, Canelo Alvarez, Caleb Plant, Jermall Charlo, and Chris Eubank Jr. Boxing 24/7 Wire argues that Berlanga's depiction exaggerates his standing in the division rather than reflecting realistic demand from opponents.

The publication highlights that Hamzah Sheeraz stopped Berlanga in five rounds in 2025, questioning his portrayal as the target. Furthermore, Berlanga had to recover from a second-round knockdown to defeat Steven Butler in July. Boxing 24/7 Wire asserts that Berlanga needs these high-profile fights to rebuild his credibility rather than being the man others are actively pursuing.
