Former Klitschko manager Bernd Boente has ranked Daniel Dubois as Britain's number one heavyweight ahead of Tyson Fury, Fabio Wardley, and Anthony Joshua. Speaking exclusively to World Boxing News, Boente placed Fury second, Wardley third, and Joshua fourth. Boente also labeled Dubois the slight favorite heading into his upcoming rematch with Wardley.
Boente noted that Wardley must diversify his punches and manage recurring facial damage, which could prompt retirement. Additionally, Boente revealed that WBC heavyweight champion Agit Kabayel aims to fight Dubois or Filip Hrgovic after his scheduled title defense against Nelson Hysa.
