Fabio Wardley’s Team Wants Daniel Dubois Fouls Policed

Fabio Wardley's manager Michael Ofo has called for stronger refereeing ahead of Saturday's heavyweight rematch against Daniel Dubois at London's O2 Arena. Ofo accused Dubois of leading with his head and tackling during their first bout in May, where Dubois overcame two knockdowns to stop Wardley and claim the WBO heavyweight title. In response, Dubois' trainer Don Charles dismissed the complaints from Wardley's camp as signs of insecurity and weakness.

Boxing News 24 notes that while Wardley's team has valid concerns regarding head collisions disrupting offensive exchanges, Wardley cannot rely solely on officiating. The outlet argues that Wardley must implement tactical adjustments, such as improving his jab, throwing combinations, and moving after punching, to discourage Dubois from driving forward.
