Floyd Schofield captured the vacant WBA lightweight title against Lucas Bahdi on Saturday night, but his uneven performance looked nothing like the explosive first-round finish he produced against Tevin Farmer

Floyd Schofield captured the vacant WBA lightweight championship on Saturday night, defeating Lucas Bahdi by unanimous decision at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. Schofield secured the victory with judges' scorecards reading 116-110, 119-108, and 115-111, maintaining his undefeated record at 20-0.
Schofield scored an early knockdown with a third-round left hook before Bahdi tested him with heavy body shots and counters. Bahdi was credited with a knockdown in the eleventh round following tangled feet, but Schofield boxed carefully through the final round to secure the belt.
