The Story in 60 Seconds

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are reportedly set to face each other in their highly anticipated heavyweight showdown on December 11 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. According to boxing insider Dan Rafael, the date and venue have been agreed upon, provided that local authorities approve the necessary permits. Organizers are reportedly keen for the fight to take place in the early hours to accommodate global broadcasting schedules.

The announcement follows a prolonged dispute over the location of the mega bout. While Saudi Arabia's Sela and Netflix pushed for the fight to be held at Madison Square Garden in New York, Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, remained firm on keeping the event in the United Kingdom. Joshua ultimately decided to reject a more lucrative offer to fight in America in order to face his rival on home soil.
