When asked to name his ‘GOATs’ in the sport, Davis gave a direct, three-man list. He stated: “Floyd Mayweather, Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson.” His inclusion of Mayweather is expected. Davis was a longtime protégé of the five-division world champion, who built an undefeated record and became the sport’s biggest pay-per-view star with wins over Manny Pacquiao and Canelo Alvarez.
Muhammad Ali’s place is also a standard for most all-time lists. The three-time heavyweight world champion defined an era with iconic victories in the ‘Rumble In The Jungle’ against George Foreman and the ‘Thrilla In Manila’ against Joe Frazier.
