The Story in 60 Seconds

Unbeaten heavyweight Nelson Hysa claims he has signed a contract to fight WBC champion Agit Kabayel and gave the Kurdish-German fighter a deadline to finalize the bout. Taking to social media, the 42-year-old Albanian stated he will make the signed contract public if Kabayel does not agree to terms within 24 hours.

Hysa's claims follow remarks from promoter Frank Warren indicating they were moving on from negotiating with him. Kabayel, who became full WBC champion in June after Oleksandr Usyk vacated his titles, is expected to make his first defense in Germany later this year before targeting unifications against Filip Hrgovic or the winner of Daniel Dubois versus Fabio Wardley 2.
