How world champion Smith can become a mainstream star

Former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew argues that WBC light-welterweight champion Dalton Smith should target a major domestic clash against Adam Azim at Hillsborough to become a mainstream star. Smith prepares to defend his title against Dominican Republic contender Alberto Puello on Saturday, having previously captured the belt by stopping Subriel Matias in New York.

Bellew warns that facing southpaw Puello represents the toughest challenge of Smith's career, stressing that the champion must maintain a strong work rate and avoid looking past him. However, if Smith wins, Bellew believes an all-British showdown against Azim at Sheffield Wednesday's stadium would create an electric rivalry.
