‘I made the best of the situation’: Dillian Whyte reveals he fought Moses Itauma with fractured foot

British heavyweight boxer Dillian Whyte revealed to Sky Sports that he fought Moses Itauma with a fractured foot during their August 2025 bout. Whyte suffered a clean fracture during training camp after hurting his foot on a run and aggravating it while sparring. He then refractured the foot in his dressing room while warming up prior to the fight.

Despite a doctor advising him not to compete, Whyte refused to withdraw from the event in Saudi Arabia, believing he could still stop Itauma in the later rounds. After being stopped in the opening round, Whyte stated he has no immediate retirement plans and expressed interest in facing Johnny Fisher next.
