Jermall Charlo picks a winner in Canelo Alvarez vs Christian Mbilli: “He should take it”

Unbeaten two-division champion Jermall Charlo has predicted that Canelo Alvarez will defeat Christian Mbilli in their upcoming super-middleweight title clash. Speaking to Sean Zittel, Charlo favored Alvarez's vast experience over Mbilli, stating that stylistically the Mexican star should win despite entering the bout following the longest layoff of his career.

Charlo dismissed concerns about the 36-year-old's age and mileage, arguing that Alvarez has sustained minimal damage throughout his professional career. Charlo, who is aiming to secure a future fight against Alvarez to avenge twin brother Jermell Charlo's 2023 loss, noted that Alvarez remains fresh heading into the Kingdom Arena bout in Riyadh.
