Muhammad Ali's official account appeared to respond to Terence Crawford after the retired champion caused controversy by seemingly calling Ali a loser. Crawford made the remark during a social media debate regarding the importance of an undefeated boxing record, replying "He was" when asked if the term applied to the heavyweight legend.
Following criticism, Crawford defended his statements by advising followers to be themselves instead of worrying about other people's opinions. Shortly after the dispute, Ali's official account shared an archival quote emphasizing that there is never a loser in boxing and both fighters should be applauded.
