The Story in 60 Seconds

The family of the late boxing champion Ricky Hatton has voiced severe frustration over delays and a perceived lack of transparency regarding his reported £40 million estate. More than a year following his passing, Hatton's eldest son Campbell and his parents, Ray and Carol, state they remain without clear answers concerning the distribution of funds among his three children in the absence of a will.

Hatton's assets are managed by the Dorothy Hatton Discretionary Trust, controlled by his former secretary Catherine Lomas and former legal adviser Paul Dodds. While there is no suggestion of wrongdoing by the trustees, Campbell has enlisted legal representation after correspondence was referred to law firm Muckle, as the family questions the estate's true value.
